    CLOSED Tc Big Bore .58

They are a good gun,the .58 is lighter than the other calibers. When I hunted with mine I put a double-set trigger renegade stock on it.Like double-sets better and kept my Big Boar stock mint. They have been in fair demand for the last 10 years, and now it is crazy times buying any firearm.I have...

SOLD Northwest Traders Earlys Whitney 4 point blanket capote size 2X

No buttons, just the sash belt. Actually they are warmer when you overlap the lapels and tie the sash,no gaps for air infiltration. Buttons would be an easy add.

SOLD Northwest Traders Earlys Whitney 4 point blanket capote size 2X

There are no moth holes in this Capote. There appears to be one small burn hole and a few stains and pilling from use. It smells fine. It looks to have some dog hair on it. That is free. The size appears to be a very roomy 2X. I am 6 ft and 24o0 lbs and it fits me loosely and comfortably. This...

Lyman GPR current production quality ?

You are right,Pedersoli makes the Signature Great Plains rifle. The Trade Rifle,Deerstalker and Plains Pistol are still made by Investarm as far as I know. And they all are "out of stock" on the Lyman Website.

Lyman GPR current production quality ?

Yes I know Pedersoli makes them now.But I think most of the grumbling about quality has been about the Investarm guns of the last 4 or 5 years. I think the Pedersoli gun will have few quality control issues. You would be lucky to find a Pedersoli Plains gun right now.And for $900 to a $1000...

Lyman GPR current production quality ?

Have not heard the barrel junk deal. They had a barrel recall several years ago. I think most of the problems people are having are fit and finish on the factory made rifles and the kits.I think their hardware is fine,Investarm has been making these rifles for more than 40+ years. Best to look...

    What’s it worth?

Well it is definitely worth more than your run of the mill standard TC Hawken or Renegade. 1 in 66 makes it worth more, $400 plus.Strong market for TC guns and parts nowadays.

    Past Lyman plains rifle makers..

That's an oldie there. They had that style with the big patchbox, before the GPR look we are now accustomed to.

    Really?

Take a look at TC or green Mt. barrels. A TC .50, 5/16" Hawken barrel just sold for $390.00 total on evilbay. Not a new barrel or a 1/66 twist barrel,a standard 1/48 twist, used barrel. Here is the barrels description,Blue very good on outside of barrel, light pitting inside bore. Yikes.Talk...

    TC Hawken 45

Lived and hunted all my life in Iowa and didn't know you could use the .45 on deer.Thought it was .50 and up! As for caliber of TC, I use whatever trips my trigger that year. I do have a couple of of .45's and really like them, especially my .45 Seneca.
