    Soldering ramrod pipes to barrel

The old Sharon Trade rifles were set up this way, I have three of them. It works well and looks good too. The pipe covered by the stock has a key slot below the pipe to attach the stock and the pipes on the outside are soldered to the barrel, no rib is used.

    SHARON MUZZLE LOADER

Sharon rifles are my favorites, I have 4 of them and two others with Sharon barrels. Very good shooters. I believe some of the best barrels ever made. Wish they were still available.

Hawken Rifles, What's All The Hoopla?!

I have a restoration in the works on one too, a CW Springfleld converted to a shotgun, don't know when I will ever get it done, I also have too many projects. It should be very good shape and shootable when it is finished.

Mr. Flintlock’s Lube and Bore Cleaner

I bought a couple of bottles of it to try out, haven't used it much yet. My favorite, old standby was Hoppes 9 black powder patch lube and bore cleaner. I don't think it is available anymore and the last l tried to order was not the same, much thinner and not at all suitable for a patch lube, in...

    Bore light

Lighted arrow nocks are the way to go, way better than the brass ones made for muzzleloaders. l have had a couple of the brass lights and they didn't last long, l much prefer the arrow nocks.

Anyone got a deer or bear this year? Our season opens this weekend, wondering how folks round the country are doing.

I got a nice cow elk, in our early season, but not with a muzzleloader, mod 70 win, I will get one of my muzzleloaders out for the upcoming deer and antelope hunts. I would love to take an elk with a muzzleloading rifle but at my age of 76 years old, it is hard enough with a modern rifle.

    Renegade replacement barrel

A couple of years ago, I sent Rice a Renegade breech plug and he fit it to a new barrel and cut sight dovetails for me. It is a very good shooter.

Help getting started. Molds and loads. TC 50cal.

I have a T/C Renegade that shoots the Lee R.E.A.L bullet very well. 320 grain bullet, felt wad and 70grains of 3F Goex. I do lube the bullets too. First two shots very close together third shot opens the group a little, but still close enough for hunting. After three shots I need to wipe the...
