    Getting back into the hobby, maybe a stupid question.

    Full of powder maybe too much. try 1-1.5 grains only. A pan charger is a great thing to have. Dixie Gun Works has them cheap, of you can get just the tip and make your own from an antler. A controlled amount of powder is needed.

    Some one gave me a Pietta, Only $150 to get it to work reliably. Heard good things about Uberti. They are all in the rough, and you have to bring it up to your standards. There are some here that have very high standards.
