    Plains Rifle Fun!

When i first got my gpr flinter i used 3f as i had plenty of it and it shot well but i felt it could do better so i picked up a can of 2f and at 50 yds with 80gr. it tightened up to a 5 shot group you could cover with a half dollar, i have yet to work on at 100yds but i feel confident it will do...

    Lyman Gpr

Thanks. I have Davis Deerslayer Triggers on it. The front trigger works well i'm just looking for something a little less stout to squeeze, I guess i could get use to it by shooting more

Pondering the idea of changing my set triggers out to a single trigger. Has anyone done this with good success? Thank You Mike

    Kohlrabi

I like them raw with salt and also cut them in 1/4's smothered in butter, wrap them in foil and cook them like a baked potato.

Over powder card under a prb.

I read on here that some are using a over powder card under the patched ball but cant seem to find the topic when i search for it. What size card is being used for a .54 cal, i would like to try it and also if anyone can tell me the benefits from it and how to use it. Thank You Mike

what patch lube are you using ?

Spit, Stumpys moose snot, murphys oil soap and water mix. or just plain water. I use these at the range, when im going hunting and the gun will be loaded for a while i use moose snot or teflon ticking. The moose snot is my favorite.

    GPR and RB patches

I have one in a flinter .54cal. I doubt they are sticking to the ball but it is possible they are burning up and sometimes they are just hard to find. Try firing a couple shots safely down range and see if you can see the patch flying through the air, don't worry about aiming just watch for the...

    Squirrel Rifle

Patiently waiting on quotes on a .36 cal poor boy, 42" GM barrell, siler flint, double set triggers and steel hardware squirrel rifle kit. I had one of these in a .40 20 some years ago that would cloverleaf 5 shots at 75yds and have regretted selling it ever since. I want something to hunt small...

    Keeping the patent chamber clean

Before i load my first shot for practice or for hunting i take a tooth pick and plug the vent hole, pour in a little rubbing alcohol and let it sit a minute or so. Take my ramrod with a cleaning patch dampened with rubbing alcohol, start it in the barrel, remove the toothpick and shove the...
