Does anyone have the battery size for those brass drop in bore lights for muzzleloaders?

Used a very fine file and removed about .03 off bottom and tapered up to sides.Took any slight burrs off from inside of bore.If you didn't know it was done you would never see it.

DONE! EASY! Now after the 2 week deer season is over I'll give a report.

So for those who have done it,I file the BOTTOM of the bore to raise the pattern?

If I want to move the pattern UP do I slightly file the top or bottom of the muzzle?

It is my understanding that the rumor of damascus barrel being unsafe comes from the guys that shot 2 3/4" shells out of guns that had damascus barrels with 2 1/2" chambers.That increases pressure.

I have 2 TC Senecas in 45 cal.One I have set up to shoot RB's and the other Maxi's.Both only get 50grs of FFFg because of the small thin stocks but both kill deer with no problem to 50yds. I have centered the sights but here is groups at 50yds. DSCF1897 by t410er, on Flickr

I have 4 originals and really enjoy knowing how old and what they have seen. Have an 11ga,14ga,18ga, and a 20ga. I don't shoot them as a quick 2nd shot at game but more as not reloading as often. Pictures 456 by t410er, on Flickr

High heat will give you lard. I use a crockpot on low to get oil.Both work fine BUT I would give the lard to my wife and say "Pie Please !"

There is a material store in Goodville Pa called "Obies".Old time store and barely enough room to walk around.The had MANY thickness of pillow and all made with cotton and not the Poly blends that are showing up at some stores.

Filing does work! You could also ad a second bead in middle of barrel.When you shoot remember to "stack"the front on top of the middle bead. Another thing I do is to put my thumb on top of the barrel.I then put the bead on top of my thumb.

When I had my 56 years ago it liked a bare .550 ball.Load was over powder card,fiber wad,bare ball,and over shotcard to make sure it didn't move.It liked this better than a patched ball.

It's still a trophy in my book! :thumbsup:
