    Seems to me that a zinc slug could be lengthened to add the needed mass, but you couldn't do that with a round ball.

    IMHO, Zinc is too light - a density of about 7.1 g/mL vs leads 11.4. :td: Personally, I would go with the ITX. :thumbsup: Also personally, I would never live in CA !!! :td: Nothing personal ...... :surrender:

    For those who are polishing their brass (which I do on my wall-hanger vs the more used guns that I let go for patina), what have you found to be the best brass polish? And do you use some kind of wax or other to protect the shine ???

    I blame Davy Crockett (Fess Parker), my first hero as a kid in the 50's. I grew up in the Smokies of Western NC. My grandfather was the civil engineer for the Qualla Boundary, so I was in and about the Cherokee region a lot of the time. My father was CE for the NC part of the Blue Ridge Parkway...

    And THAT is the TRUTH !!! But as to the Q, I thought that the TCs were better made of the rifles I've handled, so I bought a TC Hawken kit when I first started. But before I even got started good on it, discovered that it was nothing like a real Hawken, so sold it and bought a GPR. Never...
