    New TVM 'Jaeger' Rifle

That is a beautiful rifle! Personally I think your "mistake" of not getting a patch box was actually the best thing. You don't need it and wood looks better without it. I'm sure it will shoot great! TVM makes a great rifle.... I have one of Matt's. It's a long rifle in .36 caliber..... Which...

    Dried Bore Butter/Lube

This is so true!! I had a lot of sized and lubed bullets I cast many years ago for a caliber I no longer have. They also had gas checks on them. I threw them in the pot... they smoked like crazy. I only had to skim the floating gas checks off the top and all was good.

    Type "F" Auto Tranny Fluid

You mean if they ask him if he wants grits, he asks how many comes to an order? I've heard of that but never witnessed it before. Who doesn't like grits? I had some just this morning! :stir:

    Type "F" Auto Tranny Fluid

Actually he says NOT to use it in the barrel or back of the lock. He also mentions to use a good gun oil in the barrel.

Altoid boxes! Of course! Stumpkiller, since I saw your post in the other forum with that photo, I've been looking around for tins like that. The funny part is I have an altoid box in my bag right now, just not peened and stripped. Guess what I'm going to when I get home tonight! :rotf: Thanks...

    Some of my leather work

Brownbear, thanks much and I can certainly appreciate your story of your Dad. I learned leatherwork from my Dad who picked it up as something to do when he came back from the pacific just after WWII. He was in the Navy. I learned from him and am using his tools. I have several things he made...

    Some of my leather work

That particular piece of leather I used to make those items was purchased a while ago so I don't remember exactly, however as an educated guess I'd say its most likely 8 or maybe 9 oz. When I get home I'll measure it to see. The thread is linen, but I waxed it using beeswax.

    Some of my leather work

Decided to show off a couple things I've made and carved. Been doing leather work on and off for many years using the tool past down to me from my Dad. This was my first attempt at making holsters from scratch. They are for my 1860 percussions I use for cowboy action. Left hand holster is in a...

My new (to me) TVM southern Flinter

Sorry about that Iowa! Maybe this might cheer you up! My son and I went to the range today and shot it. All I can say is this thing accurate! We were shooting at 30 yards at first just to see where it printed... my first shot offhand was two inches left of dead center. WOW! Cant ask for...

    My Flintlock Jukar pistol.

Nice looking pistol. I have a CVA frontier I bought in the early 80's as a factory assembled gun. It wasn't a kit like my other CVA rifles are. It's a percussion unfortunatly. I'd like to get a flintlock pistol. I'll have to get a photo of it to post.

My new (to me) TVM southern Flinter

Actually my mother knitted it, but the lady of house wasn't very pleased when she saw my photo shoot..... Probably not my best idea. :headslap: :rotf: however I was very careful! But you are very welcome to shoot it! I'll be heading to the range this weekend. We do cowboy action...
