while making plans for a september 2017 moose hunt in Newfoundland, i thought it would be simpler to just buy my powder up there. i did find it at a Calela's after you cross into Canada, but it is $48.00 per pound! i have since found out that getting it across the border is not a problem.

here in PA where we have the "flintlock only season" brings the % of flintlocks way up. however, now that inlines and percussion guns are allowed in the 1st week early season, that brings the numbers up a bit.

thats the right attitude! attention to detail, is all that it takes. nothing fancy or complicated. after time in the field, hunting in the rain won't be a problem, it just takes time.

for the experts: is a wood patch box acceptable on a golden age rifle? or would they have been brass or steel only?
