    My basement wall

Top rifle is a euroarms Kentuckian. Traded a guy an Italian Carcano for it. Got a pretty stock on it, 45 caliber. Third one down is a Japanese made Miroku. It shoots very well and the lock sparks well. The only thing weird about it is the flash channel is drilled at an angle and the powder has...

    My basement wall

I like that, it sets off the rifles nicely. Should do something like that to my wall, give it more of a rustic look.

    My basement wall

After I clean them I wipe them down with wd-40. Haven't had any problems yet. It doesn't hurt that a de-humidifier is about 6 feet away. I leave it on all the time and have to empty the bucket every couple of days.

Here's a couple of pics of my rifles; nothing fancy or custom, but they're all fun to shoot.

They have it in the former Penney's building at the Westland Mall. Pro Gun Association puts it on. Technically its outside Columbus City limits so not affected by the stupid rules.

    Doghouse

Boy oh boy, I'm in the doghouse now! Came home from the Columbus gun show with a Traditions Crockett .32. Looks brand new, guy says he only fired it a few times, had a .36 he liked better. Gave 180.00 for it, all I had in my wallet. Stopped and got 3 boxes of balls for it on the way home. Gotta...

    Navy Arms

Ok, per a suggestion from a forum member, the rifle is on it's way to the Log Cabin Shop. I called them and they'll look it over and give me their opinion and an estimate. Probably best that I don't mess with it anymore, should've thought of this myself, better late than never though. Thanks...

I'll try the ez-out, but what can be done if the drum threads are messed up? Can it be retapped safely? Just have this picture of a nipple flying off and becoming embedded in my forehead. Dealt with stuck nipples before, but this is the worst I've seen. Don't think I drilled into the drum...

    Navy Arms

Update on the carbine. Well, the nipple was rusted onto the drum, so I let it soak a couple of days with wd-40. Was trying to unscrew when the nipple snapped completely off with the threads still in the drum. The drum is part of the barrel and not removable. Tapped on the inside a few times...

    Navy Arms

Thanks for the info. Do you think some of the parts would interchange with the navy arms zouave? Would like to order a front sight and a barrel band spring for the front nose piece. This one has a small knob on the end which has worked loose. Tried to solder it, but wouldn't take. Called around...

    Navy Arms

Oh yeah, its a 58 caliber. The Maxi-ball came out fairly easily. Looks like the powder had turned to a brownish dust. Some rust in barrel. Going to strip it down and give it a good cleaning, hopefully the barrel comes clean.

    Navy Arms

Look what I found in a pawnshop today! Marked Navy Arms, barrel is marked Antonio Zoli Italy. Missing front swivel, front sight is a cut-up dime, and has a ball stuck in the barrel. Other than that is in good shape. Any ideas as to what model, etc this is would be appreciated. Short little...

There's one just like this on gunbroker right now. Up to 155.00 with several days to go. I'd say you did well for 75.00 :peace:

Range/Cleaning Rod - Great Plains Rifle

Been awhile, but I'm pretty sure I ordered them from cheaper than dirt, may have been somewhere else though. Not much help am I? :: I looked on cheaper than dirt, but did not see the rods I have, sorry. I'll keep looking though.

Range/Cleaning Rod - Great Plains Rifle

I buy the polymer rods in 36" lengths, cut em down to about 2" longer than my barrel and use as a ramrod/cleaning rod. In other words, they stay with the rifle and just do double duty. I like this way because I can get a good grip on the rod while ramming or pulling. It hangs out in front of the...
