    Steel Skeletal Stock?

I have a question? Do you have to have a bp revolver made to accept a stock or will they fit any 1861 navy

    Hunting clothes

I don't mind the cold so much. It's the wide temperature swings we've been having in PA. If it would stay cold I can get use to it. But I don't adjust to fast anymore.

Bandana that's the same thing as a wild rag, that what they were called where I purchased them. They really work well. Surprisingly how much heat you can lose around your neck area.

    Hunting clothes

Something you might want to try is a wild rag. It's made out of silk. Fold it in a triangle give it a couple of twirls to the size you want cross it on the back of neck tie a loose square knot in front tuck it in around your collar and you'll be surprised how much warmer you will be. You might...

    Gun Powder "substitutes"

Well that sums it up. One needs to practice common sense. That's why we have so many rules and regulations today. People need to be protected from themselves! However getting back to BP substitutes, if cyanide is present one needs to apply common sense and if they don't, don't point the finger...

    Gun Powder "substitutes"

Good point. My house was built in 1840 , I grew up in this house and the paint in it is lead paint. But I never remember eating lead paint chips. T bone steaks, pot roast fried chicken and all the fixings. I never said hold on ma how about a bowl of paint chips. If you watch the news they are...

    Gun Powder "substitutes"

Our society has become so feminized. Thank you, I thought it was me that was thinking that. The world that I grew up in and worked in for 40 + years is going away. However I will shoot my muzzleloader's, eat a steak, smoke a cigar, drink a beer and just enjoy myself. Moderation I believe is the...

    Gun Powder "substitutes"

Question is how much cyanide a powder charge produces? Also your outside and usually there's always air movement and I don't know of anyone shooting at an inside range with all the smoke a muzzle loader produces. You know apple seeds contain a small amount of cyanide but you don't hear of anyone...

How does a Bowie differ from other large knives?

Well I think it looks like a good knife. If it had a full tang it would be stronger, however what really matters is you like it, and that's all that matters.

    Colt Pocket Reliable?

Well I never seen anything in PA game Commission rule book. After all you can use a bow to hunt game. I carry a 32 pocket pistol around my farm in case I come across a coon, opossum, ground hog etc. I'm not hunting them but if they are around my buildings or are causing me problems they have to go.

    Colt Pocket Reliable?

Good to hear I hope that it works for you. I ordered 2 springs from lodgewood Mfg. One for my 1848 wells Fargo and one for my 1849 pocket pistol, both have the same problem. They said they are made a little bit longer and I will have to cut to fit. While working on my 49 pocket I noticed that...

    Colt Pocket Reliable?

I found a site lodgewood Mfg Ltd they have a mainspring for $12.00. I think I'm going to order a couple, one for my Wells Fargo 1948 and one for my 1949 colt pocket pistol if they work I'll let you know. But I definitely think that I need a little heavy spring

    Colt Pocket Reliable?

I have a uberti 1849 pocket pistol and the main spring is weak. It fires hit and miss. I wasn't sure what the problem was and ended up cutting down an old hack saw blade and placing it under the main spring. It fires everytime. I would like to buy a heavier main spring if anyone knows who...
