    Newb question about powder

Grafs and Sons do have powder. I've got an order coming tomorrow for their Goex made house brand. $9.95 shipping and $12.95 Haz Mat fee. I ordered a bunch of stuff from them so it's reasonable shipping.

Neat project! I've got a TC Hawken kit gun from the 80's that needs a redo. I'll be following your progress to see if I want to tackle it.

    209 primer nipple?

I didn't. I just got the nipple for now. I'm going to try it out first to see if I like it and how it functions. I've got four other rifles I'll get them for if it works well. Then I'll get a spare cap.

    209 primer nipple?

Well I ordered one to try out. It was about $30 shipped and with all the #209 primers I was given it'll save some money! I'll report back on how they perform.

    209 primer nipple?

Yesterday I was given 1300 209 primers! Do any of you know of a source for nipples that I can use these in? I'm shooting an Invest Arms .54 and TC & Pedersoli rifles in .45 & .50. I'd rather use them than let them sit. Appreciate it!

    patch lube,,,,,,,,,,

I've been using the Castor oil/alcohol recipe for a couple years with great results. The patches are almost dry after the alcohol evaporates. They load easily and I can get 10 or more shots between bore wipes.

    Cracked Stock

All good advice given! I've used the bamboo chopsticks to repair cracks similar to that but used Brownells Acra Glas epoxy instead of wood glue. After it's done I use the epoxy to bed the barrel tang and a couple inches up the channel. That'll stop it.

    Pedersoli Scout question

Thanks Cowboy. I asked because the one I put on my Invest Arms was a rough casting that took a lot of work before I could brown it. Appreciate the link, it's been awhile since I ordered from TOW.

    Pedersoli Scout question

That is sweet Cowboy! I love the clean look it gives to the rifle! Where did you get it, was it finished and how much fitting did it take?

    Pedersoli Scout question

Thanks for mentioning the sights Cowboy. I was thinking down the road about doing that. I've got an Invest Arms rifle that I replaced the adjustable rear sight with a buckhorn. Sure did improve the rifles appearance!

    Pedersoli Scout question

I haven't shot it yet. Next week I'm going to a friend's that has a range on his property to try it out. I texted him a pic of it and he's as excited as I an.

    Pedersoli Scout question

I did get a deal on it. $200, I offered $175 but he wouldn't budge. I'm happy with that any day!

    Pedersoli Scout question

Appreciate the help! A good idea to take it to a hardware store to compare thread sixes. Isn't 1/2 28 the same size as Thompson Center nipples?
