Welcome to the club brother. I use 2oz of #5 shot in mine. For some reason mine doesn't like #6's. I try to use it for squirrels at twice a year. Lots of fun and a great conversation piece.

Both guns up in Indiana with my Son. How about some videos building and shooting basically the same gun: I forgot to mention that the vendor will solder on the sight for you as well.

I like the Pecatonica Trade gun kit. Well carved and inleted. Easy to assemble. I like the 36-inch 20 ga barrel. About $800 in mid grade wood. My son and I both have one for rabbit hunting.

I bought 8 from TOW, one did not spark. I called them and they sent replacement. No problem. .

If you use Johnsons paste wax on the underside or all over the barrel for that matter of your barrel and you barrel channel you won't have to worry. Any use of grease or oil will hold the moisture and will facilitate rust. I like hunting deer in rainy weather. Animals on the move, your scent...
