Seems to me a light wood ramrod is not likely to damage the bullet with just a little bounce. Maybe repeated pounding but I dont think that is what we that bounce are doing. I know I just use a light bounce no pounding. So now you can dispute me if you wish.

This is what I do also for over 40 years

I have been using RIG for 40 years .I purchased some about a year ago and it seems to be a little thinner than the old stuff but works just as well. I also keep a old handkerchief coated with RIG in my vault to wipe any gun I touch and have excellent results.

I was gifted a CVA Wolf 50 cal that the bore was in awful condition so I used a adjustable hand reamer to make it a smooth bore and it turned out really nice just ream a little at a time made about 3 passes to just cut out the rifling and stopped
