    40 gauge

Sorry for my absence...ice fishing has absorbed a lot of my free time but today I got out and shot my little gun. It is a fun little gun to shoot. I opted to make wads using a 0.50" punch and cereal box for over shot card. I thought I had 12ga nitro cards to punch out and use as overpowder...

    40 gauge

This is one of the few pics I do have of this little gun. I should take a few better ones. It is a Belgium made gun by Armaf Liegeoise.

    40 gauge

Thanks for the info. If punching out 50cal fiber wads proves to be a pain can I punch out 1/2" cork sheets for loading?

    40 gauge

This is what I've been considering. I'll probably be able to punch out some cereal box for over shot card but will have to track down something appropriate for compression and overpowder wads. I spent some time online and haven't found anything but the Wikipedia page. I was thinking something...

    40 gauge

So i've had an older double that I've always called a 410 (in fact I asked about this gun about 7-8 years ago on this exact forum) and I never really got serious about shooting until recently. Of course I order wads never really bothering to measure the bores until they arrive and were way too...

    CVA Express Double help

That's what I thought. The second I pulled the trigger at full cock I knew something was wrong so I took apart to investigate. I contacted the seller and we're going to it work out. Looks like I have some phone calls to make today.

    CVA Express Double help

Hi Gents, I recently acquired a CVA Express Double and it seems that the right hammer mechanism has some major issues which prevents it from falling beyond half-cock. The seller is offering a full refund as he claims it worked 100% before he shipped. Here's a pick of the hammer system. It...

    410 bore percussion double?

Thanks for the help. The blueing is good shape. No rust and just 1 scuff about 4 inches up from the nipples. The wood has 2 little dings that have to be pointed out. It is too small for me to shoot and the nipples are smaller than #11 caps. Unfortunately I'm going to have to find a buyer...

    410 bore percussion double?

Hello all, I have acquired a 410 bore percussion double. It is a Armaf Liegeoise Belgique (made in Belgium). It is in good condition. I can not find any information about the gun itself or the manufacturer. In fact, I can't find another 410 percussion anywhere on the net. Does anyone have...

    410 percussion loads

Thanks guys, I like the data. Where can I get the Hodgdon's manual? Is it the one on their website? I think I will stick to the light 1/2oz loads. I will likely use 7-1/2 or 8 shot. I plan on using the gun for squirrels and rabbits until I get proficient and then maybe try it on birds.

    410 percussion loads

Can I use 410 supplies that are used for "European loads"? Grafs and BPI have compression wads, over shot cards, over powder wads.

    New in MT

Hello Forum, I'm up here in Montana and just posted my first Forum question in the smoothbores about a 410 double I just acquired. I've been shooting a Hawken 54 for about 13 years now and have been lucky enough to use it to harvest several whitetails back in my home state of Nebraska. I'm...

    410 percussion loads

I picked up a 410 double sidelock (belgian) at Scheels (of all places) this weekend. I've always wanted one and finally found one in the last place I would ever look. Now I need to find some loads and equipment to shoot it. I have found some information on 1/2oz load with 60grains FFg. Not...
