    Midsouth Shooters Supply

They are a great company to deal with! You might also check out Natchez Shooters Supplies (also in Tennessee), and Graf and Sons(MO) they may have GPR's too. I buy alot of my stuff from these two companies.

    Rice Barrel back log.

For what Rice charges, they ought to be able to hire more workers and increase production! I didn't want to wait for months, so my Builder is using a Round-bottomed Swamped Colerain for my .54 Lancaster build:thumbsup:

90 grs. Too much for Renegade?

Also, buy some un-lubed patches and try saliva (spit) for a lube. I think you will like the results. If they work well, then try some "dry"-lubed Ballistol/water patches. Dutch Schultz discusses them in his Black Powder Accuracy System. Good luck

90 grs. Too much for Renegade?

I've never had any accuracy with Bore Butter. It ought to be taken off the market. Do your self a favor and buy a copy of Dutch Schultz's Black Powder Accuracy system. In the mean time, try spit on your patches like leatherbark says and I bet your groups will shrink

    1st flinter suggestions

I agree with the others. I would advise getting some one on here to build you a Lancaster style long rifle. Check with a guy named Stophel on here. Or,if you are in a hurry, get a rifle from Tip Curtis.

    Dixie Tennessee Mountain Rifle Alternative

I would recommend a factory built TVM Tennessee, Southern, or Early Virginia rifle. I like my TVM .54 Early Virginia Flintlock!

    LMF question

Is it really necessary to heat the barrel with a torch to dry out the moisture after the last coat of browning?

    Any Flintlock gunsmith's in KY?

The barrel is already on my Early Virginia rifle. I'm the second owner of the rifle. The first owner had the barrel and lock left in the bright as he wanted it to age naturally. Well it looks like the W.L. Liner plan is out. My gun actually has a 5/16 X 28 liner already in it. It's located...

    Eye safety

Wear your shooting glasses! It just takes one freak accident to ruin an eyeball! Then you will have to learn to shoot from the other shoulder. Also unlike in Pirates of the Caribean, girls really don't dig guys with a patch over one eye.

    Any Flintlock gunsmith's in KY?

My gun currently has a 1/4X28 liner installed. I have already ordered the W.L. 5/16X32 liner kit, but I'm waiting on the countersink T.O.W. forgot to send. To Ben: I'm in Mt. Sterling, KY. Thanks!

    Any Flintlock gunsmith's in KY?

Are there any good flintlock gunsmiths in KY, esp. central KY? I would like to have a White Lightning Touch Hole liner installed and maybe have the barrel browned on my Early Virginia rifle.

What kind of groups are you getting with your .54 T/C Greyhawks? I'm thinking about buying a N.O.S. one.

    Anyone got a TVM pistol?

Hanshi, Looks great! What is your barrel length? I'm getting my .54 made with a 10" barrel and a Chambers Queen Anne lock. Hope it looks as good as yours!

    Shooting the 58 today

That's a nice looking rifle and shooting. Is this a TVM rifle from Matt Avance? I got a .54 TVM Early Va. that Matt built.
