Today I took the new 58 to the club shoot. I had only shot it last Sunday, but I was confident I had it close enough. I needed to adjust the set trigger tension and try a the .570 balls with the spit lube pillow ticking. I was prepared to shoot the .562 balls I have been pouring myself. I had to drive the .570 in with the short starter but once it got inside it went down smooth. Anyway the .570 with 80 FFF goex and spit lube pillow ticking is what I shot this fox target offhand at 50 yards. I know its not a group but I was hitting where I was aiming, pretty good offhand for me, with the exception of the leg hit directly below the shoulder. This is a pretty tricky target offhand. The gun has been going off so well, I used 3FFF in the pan as well. I always use 4FFFF. Anyway I might be posting some guns for sale on here in the future, cause this 58 is just too much fun. Now I haven't shot beyond 50 yds yet. I also destroyed a bowling pin today, that we have been shooting at with smaller calibers since last fall.

That's a nice looking rifle and shooting. Is this a TVM rifle from Matt Avance? I got a .54 TVM Early Va. that Matt built.

Congrats T.O. that's some fine shootin' for the 2nd time out with a new rifle. And you're right that fox is a tricky devil to shoot. :haha:

Great target! But can you take it back? The lock is on the wrong side! Geo. T.
