    Ever use TC Maxi Ball or other??

    Hi Happyhunter! I've used the buffalo bullets and the hornady great plains bullets in my .50 and .54 t/c hawkens with decent accuracy, and they kill deer. I didn't have great accuracy with the t/c maxi's or minnie's. Off the bench both hornady and buffalo bullets would shoot about 3inch groups...

    .54 Renegade: ball park hunting load ...

    I use 80grains of 3f .530 ball .018 ticking with bore butter for lube in my .54 hawken, my second favorite load is 90gr of 2f same ball and patching and bore butter for lube, good accuracy with both.

    t/c hawken shoots high

    Hi texcl! I have a hawken 54 i bought in 1990, it has the newer style sights, i've had no problems with it, i've found it likes 2ff powder better than 3fff. I shoot 85gr with prb and 100gr with a buffalo bullet at 100 yards the buffalo bullet is only 2inches lower than the prb.
