    Extra looooong rifles, anyone?

    I have a .45 cal with a swamped Colerain and it's a great shooter. I have to lay it across the front seat between the back rests to carry it but the shooting is worth it. I have a fiberglass rod that I use both for cleaning and as a range rod by Tipton. A 13 year old girl loves to shoot it...

    Can I smooth out my Frizzen?

    You can smooth out the frizzen face and re-harden it as directed in other posts. If you don't have the know how or the tools you would do better to buy a new frizzen. A quick phone call to Traditons is all it takes.

    tvm southern rifle

    Depends on the wood. I use Aqua Fortis on curly maple and Honey color on plain maple. Walnut gets boiled linseed oil.

    any info on the shennadoah by traditions

    I have a Shennadoah and a Crockett, both by Traditions. I had constant problems with both locks and replaced them locks from L&R. They are both great shooting guns now. I guess we can say they have great barrels but not so great locks.

    Zouave Accuracy

    I had Whitacre Machine Shop put a taller front sight on mine. Then I tried several adjustable rear sights. The one that has worked best so far came off a Krag Jorgensen.
