    I've got 2 .54s been using 3f in both got several pounds of 3f only 1 pound of 2f, thinking about putting together a .58 anyone using 3f in a .58? Maybe a dumb question but thought it doesn't hurt to ask.

    PRB or lead conical?

    .54 prb has always got it done for me,antelope, mule deer,elk and 1 pretty good sized hog.none more than 100 yards. 90 gr 3f and prb.

    A friend gave me tc renegade he never cleaned it and I think it's bore is pretty bad. It's a .54 can it be reboard to .58? It's in great shape otherwise. Also any ideas on a peep sight for it?

    Mowrey rifles and recoil

    I've got a Mowrey .54 my load for hunting is 90 gr 3f. Recoil for me isn't a problem the butt needs to be below your shoulder kinda in the pit of your arm.It's a great rifle I've managed to take several critters with mine.
