    Bryan, If you do not get gun pm me with gun shop name and I will get it . TC has a lifetime warranty just send the gun to them tell them the flints always break and it will no longer pattern .They will redo lock and whatever barrel needs. free of charge.

    Thanks for all the reply's. Yesterday I spent 3 hrs at the range. after 20 + shots I started to see some grouping from there I was able to sight her in . going to try her again today

    sighting in / finishing advice

    I also would start with a lighter charge I use fff and started with 60 gr in my 54 gpr found that it is most accurate with 70 gr. also do not make sights permanent at this time . shoot it for a while after about 100 shots you know all sharp edges are gone.

    I just got out of the hospital ,from a bypass surgery .A friend of mine surprised me with a kit gun to keep me busy. What a gift!! What a friend !! now to get busy .So far new lock design needs a lot of wood removed old locks fit right in. and trigger cut out need to be set back about a 1/4 in.

    I have an old t/c 50 cal percussion hawkin kit . there appears to be a ball and a broken ramrod in the barrel. Which I can not get out.Iwas wondering how I would go about removing the breech plug .also if I could replace it with a flintlock plug ?

    Lyman GPR

    Karwelis did not recognize you with that name .I know you as crowkiller. Gun looks better every time I pick it up. I experimented with an old barrel putting very small pieces of chopped onion under the wrap and in most spots got some purple to show very neat. I will try to get some photos THANKS...
