    Hunting Getting Harder!

    Tons harder down in east Texas public land in January the last two years. I've been off for a week and have yet to see a deer this week. The constant rain isn't helping much either. Two weeks ago I didn't have much trouble seeing deer.

    Thanks again folks. I don't have Chapstick on me, but I put borebutter around my nipple which I think is about the same. I messed up and forgot my musket caps which I prefer so I robbed my back up number 11 nipple so that also might have something to do with it.

    Been raining the entire bp season so far. Tried to fire my hawken percussion cap off while leaving the woods yesterday and it wouldn't go off. I had clipped the end of a surgical glove and put it over then end of the barrel. Kept a cap on the whole time to keep the water from going in that way...

    BP at Bass Pro

    I got mine from the local Gander mountain and he acted like I was a criminal for even asking for it. I'm not sure what he was thinking I was going to do with it. Then I had to fill out paperwork to put on file almost like buying a firearm. I've got to find another source.

    Picked up a old TC flintlock and took it out to the range to find out the rear sight was broke. I can only find fiber optic sights made by TC, and I don't want fiber optics on the gun. Anyone know of sights that will fit a TC flintlock that isn't fiber optics?
