45 call ball size/load
Picked up a FIE Italian 45 cal. Kentucky rifle made in 1976 for $100. Never had a .45 long gun. I do have .44 pistols though. 1860 New Army not firing #10s
It is new... and I had no idea they made nipples between 10 and 11 :hmm: . I am new to BP handguns, picked up a Pietta 1851 navy (brass) a few months ago on sael at Cabelas and now I'm hooked. Bought 2 more in the last month! Thanks for your help, couple ideas I hadn't come up with :hatsoff:- firedogross

Fix for 1860 New Army
I just picked up a Uberti 1858 New Army 44. When I put #10 caps on the nipples it wont fire them...until the second time around. I literally have to hammer them once and then the second time around they fire. The caps are fine, I tried on another pistol. I also tried #11 caps. The fired the...- firedogross

TC Hawkin 50cal
My local gun shop has a few Hawkens and Renegades in .50 and .54 for $150-$200. I bouth a .50 Hawken in like new condition for $145 (frequent customer discount). But looking around online I wouldn't pay more than $200 for a used one. Just me... another gun store near me has a New Englander...- firedogross
