    tapering barrel

    I am thinking of tapering a pistol barrel. Just seems to be to "bulky" The barrel is a 7/8 ( 50 cal) and will be 11 inch long. What would be a good ( and safe) taper and finished size at the muzzle.

    Yes, you can. Personally I would would stick to tung oil or if you want a more gloss finish,finish with pro custom oil ( also a tung oil with ad.) ( from gunstocks.com)
