    I bought a cva 32cal squirrel rifle that has never been fired until now . use 25grs of 3f and 015 patch .310 rp it burns patches went to .018 patches it solved the burnt patches but a bear to load even with a clean bore could it be the barrel isn't broke in yet haven't shot it a lot cn't get...

    Thanks everyone for the information I've never done this nut couldn't a max charge by volume of 3f ne dangerous in a older gun that would be about 130 grns and that what the modern muzzleloaders use in loose powder

    I've been told there is about 15grn difference in volume between 3f and 2f so shooting 60 grns of 3f is about 75 of 2f does anyone know if this is true .

    For the last three years mu shoulder has been so bad a bench is about all I could shoot from just went through surgery I'm aug and still don't have streanth in it yet

    I shoot a t/c with a 1/48 and use 18thousand with a.490 with 60 grns of 3f get a group just under a inch at 75 yards on the bench and a 6 clock sight picture much more powder and I start bucning patches

    New too the. Sight .be shooting muzzleloaders along time . Bought my first one in the summer of 88 then a secound in the fall at freindship indiana fall shoot t/c 50 still shoot it now I own 4 use to be. More . Love this sight and hope to meet so of u all in the woods.
