    I'm having hang fires after swabbing the barrel after about every 3 shots, I just use a little spit on a cleaning patch, And also I have a 50cal hawken woodsman flintlock with fixed sites, if I'm shooting a little low which way do I turn my elevation screw to get er back to center! Thanks guys

    is there any truth to this? I use 4f BP for the flash pan and 2F BP for main charge.... also is it better to leave a vent pick in the touch hole during loading procedure or load it then just give it a quick pick to create a little hole to help ignition

    That sounds like a great idea, will have to try it, would it make a difference if u just crumpled the patch up and threw er down the barrel, or centered it then pushed it down

    I called the local bass pro, and they don't have the ffffg then I got someone to go in and still nothing.. I joined a local black powder club and they order black powder yearly and have a constant supply for $20 for 1 pound of ffffg I needed, I am good to go and the rifle shoots beautifully
