    All I know is it is Track of the wolf’s pistol Gard. Sounds like I’ll heat it and hope for the best. Thanks for all advice. I must have got lucky , because the long rifle I built from TOTW 5 years ago, the brass triggergaurd fit perfectly without bending.

    I’m waiting on some new vent liners from TOTW. They look like they have a lip to go against the barrel. Screw driver slot. Then I’ll have to file down to about .220. (7/8 barrel,.50 cal leaves me with about .1875 barrel wall.

    The liners that I have are not tapered. I’ll order from track of the wolf. Their liners look like they have a shoulder. Threads are 5/16-24.

    Hello, I need help with a vent liner that screws all the way into the side of the barrel. Seems to me it should stop and keep from going all the way thu. I’m converting a percussion to flintlock. Any help would be appreciated. Bye the way the vent is just ahead of the breachplug.

    I agree with "Zonie" you should use Laurel Mtn.Forge Browning solution.I used all their products when I built my custom longrifle. Browning ,stain,sealers, and finish turned out very good. Just make sure you do browning in humid weather. Good luck with your project.
