    I dont think Dixie's 25 dollar Hawk has any spring steel insert. Some of the more expensive ones meant for chopping do however according to the description. Just a FYI.

    Spend more time in the woods like I used to. Hunt squirrels with My .32, .45, and my .58. Also eat my first squirrel stew. Always fried them and made gravy so gonna try something new. God willing I will.

Few inches down the pipe though and it was slick as a button.So I bobbed the barrel,added a new front site,some studs,beads etc.,refinished the stock,and got what could pass as a indian trade rifle if you dont look...
