    Stuck in Barrel...

I broke down and just took the long drive to buy a patch puller. Not the kind with two brass prongs, but the type with what looks like a sharpened coil spring on the end. It kept pulling out tiny bits for a while, but finally grabbed the whole thing and pulled it out. Will be using cotton...

    Stuck in Barrel...

I still can't seem to break it up. I did get a an incredible amount of fouling out, though. Still, the paper towel is really jammed wet in the bottom -- probably the worst thing that can happen. I dried and oiled everything else, and I'll see what I can do tomorrow. I really need an air...

    Stuck in Barrel...

...no, not a ball without powder, but a cleaning patch, made from a paper towel. I was cleaning my TC Hawken, and (foolishly, I know) used a piece of paper towel as my first dry patch after the wet patches. It got damp and came loose from the jag, and is now stuck at the bottom of the barrel...

    Drop at the Comb

Thank you for all of the advice, especially the more detailed answers. I, too, am tall with long arms...I'm 6'1" and weigh a hefty 145-150 lbs. I have favored a longer length of pull in the past. Mosin Nagants and Swiss K31 rifles are too short for me (but I shoot them anyway because they...

    Drop at the Comb

I have, for the past year or so, been toying around with the idea of getting into muzzleloading. However, I have not found a rifle that fits me really well yet. I see many posts on here saying that the GPR is a great beginner's gun. However, when I shoulder one, I find myself staring at the...

    Bowie value needed

Hey guys-I'm an American who is in Sweden right now. Those Mora knives are in many of the shops here. Like mentioned above, they come with wooden or plastic handles. Very handy blade, and very sharp. Also, very inexpensive in the US and in Sweden.
