Loads for 360 grain Minie bullet

Paul- Tell my how you really feel  Thank you for the advice. I have a good supply of roundballs, Maxi-Balls and Maxi-Hunters and thought I would give the Minies a try as well. I am going to shoot all of them and probably go with whatever ones I shoot best. I know they will all do the...

Loads for 360 grain Minie bullet

Sorry, it is for a .50 cal. Why is Pyrodex not acceptable? Is it a preference of yours or will it not work? The reason that I use Pyrodex is because I mainly use an in-line and don't want to have to puchase additional black powder.

Loads for 360 grain Minie bullet

I just purchased some 360 grain Minie bullets on line and plan on shooting them in my T/C New Englander. Any load recommendations using Pyrodex RS? Also, I believe I read somewhere I need to fill the hollow base with lube. Is this accurate? Any help is appreciated.

    Brass screws for lock

Thank you for the information. I suppose I am just looking for the color, not necessarily brass.

    Brass screws for lock

Any suggestions on where I can find brass metric 4 screws for a lock? I have tried my local hardware stores with no luck.

    1858 "Bison"

I do like the shorter barrel. I am not too familiar with these types of pistols or the bullets. Is it strictly for round balls? Also, if allowed in one's state, can it be loaded heavy enough for deer hunting?

    1858 "Bison"

I saw this on the Bass Pro Shop's website. It is made by Traditions. Just looking for any thoughts on it. I like the look and the fact it has adjustable sights. Still trying to find my first cap and ball revolver.

Maxi Ball and Maxi Hunter Loads

I have a .50 T/C New Englander and I have 370gr Maxi Balls and 350 gr Maxi Hunters. I am using Pyrodex RS. I am looking for some loading data for these combos. I have already had some help from some people in the hunting forum. Also, I thought I read somewhere that sometimes something needs...

    CVA 1851 Navy .44

I have come across someone selling a 1851 Navy .44 CVA replica he said was built in 1969. The owner said there is a minor chip in the grip but there is nothing that negatively affects the pistol. He is asking $125.00. I have not seen the pistol in person and the photo I saw is not the...

    Anyone heard of a

I have not been able to shoot mine because I am missing some parts but I think I may have found possible replacements. I will let you know how it shoots if they work out.

    Anyone heard of a

My email is [email protected]. Email me and I will reply with my mailing address. Please include a subject in your email so I know it is you and not junk email. Hopefully the parts will work. I would greatly appreciate it.

    "New" New Englander

Do you have any idea what the velocity of the load you described with the Maxihunter would be?

    Muzzleloading & treestands

I agree with you on the fact you shoot high whether shooting uphill or down. I have a Lyman 47th Edition reloading manual that covers exactly that.

    Anyone heard of a

I still have had no luck finding any further information. I am missing the two screws that hold the lock in place and I believe only the z spring (if that is what it is called) is missing from the lock. If you have the parts that would work, I would be willing to purchase them from you. Let...
