That wouldn't bother me at all. I have 10 or 12 English and Belgium SxS Original's. and have made and or repaired sears and tumblers it just takes time and usually $20 or less in parts. Looking at rust on gun I would bet the lock needs removed and degreased and re lubed to repair. Worst case...

I have one of these that is marked 10 on the bottom of the breech area. A bit heavier than yours at 12 lbs. Bores are actually 9 ga. Ten-gauge wads just fall down barrels. (9 work fine). Seeing yours is stamped 9 I suspect it is larger. Great gun .

Well done sir. I two had one on my bucket list. And 2017 got it done with muzzleloader. After 47 years Then killed another in 2020 with CF. Then had a big sow under my stand at 40 yards in 2021 didn't need the 🍖 so left her pass. Most likely never kill another.
