    Smuggler's Notch Biathlon

Well, another Smuggler's Notch Biathlon has come and gone. I had a really good time and I was happy to see all the new faces and the old ones too! I was surprised to see all of the new ladies shooting. I am talking with Ray about more trophies for the women. All I have to do is get thirty...

    Snowshoe Biathlon

Big John the biathlon turned out great! I had a really good time and I was happy that I improved upon last years score. I managed to hit eight targets and ran it a minute faster, but it just wasn't fast enough :( Oh, well its not all about winning. Its all about having fun and talking with...

    Muzzleloading Women

Well, its been a while since I have posted. I am always looking for an opportunity to shoot, especially with other women. I'll spread the word through the grapevine. Will your wife be joining us? See you at the VT Ter. in May.

    Saratoga Biathlon

Well, biathlon season has come to an offical close and we can put our snowshoes up. I'm not sure if they ever really got any real use. Overall, it was pretty good year. I look forward to next year when I can really do some damage with my smoothie. See everyone in May for the NMLRA shoot in VT.

    Saratoga Biathlon

We will be going to Saratoga that weekend. We might be staying over some place around there. It's a long drive for the brother and family. The Craig's are also thinking about staying over. I hope to make a good showing in the coming weekends!

    SVT Primitive Biathlon Feb 18 & 19

It was good to get out this weekend and shoot and see all my primitive biathlon friends. Sorry I didn't get to talk to all of you longer, but the cold really got to me. It ended up causing my thumb to lock down during the king/queen of the hill event. I must say it diffently wasn't my best...

Hey Mighty Oak, What's the snow situation shaping up to be for this weekend? Will I be needing my snowshoes?

    2006 Smuggler's Notch Primitive Biathlon

Rolling Rock is this really neat place in Braintree, VT. In the late summer or early fall Doug Bent puts on a woods walk at Rolling Rock. He has a really cool novelty shooting area at the end of the course. The prize is part of the entry fee money, I think. Some people camp out right there...

    2006 Smuggler's Notch Primitive Biathlon

Great turnout on Sat. up in Dalton. It was a nice crisp sunny day. That first hill took at lot out of people even those who are in shape. I was glad to see so many of you from the muzzleloading forum. I took smoothie out first and hit an amazing five targets. It must have been delerium but...

    2006 Smuggler's Notch Primitive Biathlon

We will be going up to Dalton on Sat. so we have all of Sunday to recouperate (sp?). I will look forward to seeing the NH PBS show. Took the smoothbore out yesterday and couldn't hit the broad side of the barn and we actually have one! Not to mention I haven't even shot the caplock since...

    2006 Smuggler's Notch Primitive Biathlon

I have to practice some or I won't even be in the standings. Are you coming to Dalton to climb the mountain?

    2006 Smuggler's Notch Primitive Biathlon

I know who you are now! That was my father and I that shot at Rolling Rock. My sister in law and brother couldn't make it that week end. Looking forward to seeing you at Dalton.

    NEPR dates and location finalized

I've been talking with Dave and Claire Pike about visiting a rendezvous and I am really excited to see that the NEPR is going to be in Pawlet again this year. When would be a good day for a visitor to visit? I need to plan well in advance for July since NASCAR is my second passion. Also is...

    NMLRA Western Nationals

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. I won't be joining you for the western nationals, but I hope to make it to Friendship this year. I have qualified for several years, but I teach school and school is not out until there are only a few days left. I have a hard time convincing them to let...

    2006 Smuggler's Notch Primitive Biathlon

You've got that right! I heard they were going to run the course in the opposite direction. I have been practicing with the smoothie and hitting about 50%, add in that big mountain and I will be lucky to hit one if I'm still standing upright and breathing! :rotf:

    2006 Smuggler's Notch Primitive Biathlon

I am horrible with names, but I tend to remember outfits. Hope to see you at Dalton. I'll be the one wearing the red skirt, I think. It would be nice to put a face to the name. For all I know we have been talking to each other for years! :haha:

    Biathlon

Thanks for turning me on to the forum. I look forward to checking out the topics. By the way my brother's an Eagle Scout and you notice he didn't teach how to tie the knots, I wonder... :hmm: I look forward to catching up with you and your lovely wife hopefully in Dalton.

    2006 Smuggler's Notch Primitive Biathlon

Well, the Smuggler's Notch Biathlon has come and gone and I can say that I have finally recovered. It was an awesome weekend for shooting muzzleloaders. Saturday was some of the best weather I have seen in years, sure beats the minus temperatures we competed in two years ago. This year I made...

    SVT Primitive Biathlon Feb 18 & 19

If there is anyone contemplating coming out to a biathlon and you live within driving distance of this biathlon, come it is a great location. The course is a nice trip through the woods and unless things have changed no really tricky targets. They also have some fun little side shooting...
