    JP Beck Silver mounted Pistol

Something I wanted to do for awhile, was recreate the JP Beck Pistol. It was a fun little project adorned in sterling silver. It is not a bench copy but as close as I could get with hardware I could find. Trigger is forged. Barrel is a Bobby Hoyt .50, the lock is old stock Hollenbaugh/Ditchburn...

    Most recent Rifle Build

I appreciate the kind words. But I have a lot to learn still. Main goal now is to improve with an emphasis in engraving practice. I did a YouTube video of my casting experience. I built a cope and drag box, and got a home foundry that runs on propane. I’m still learning—it’s a alot to learn...

    Most recent Rifle Build

Figured someone you may enjoy seeing this project. Rice barrel 42 inch, Brooks Lock Castings, Brass was sandcasted by me, rest of the hardware was either cut or forged. It’s not perfect, I definitely plan on working on my engravings skills in the future. I build primarily to tell the story of...

That’s half the reason I film these visits, lets people share the experience a little bit, and hopefully motivate them to go see it for themselves.

While in Philadelphia I had the chance to film some of my visit to include the Original Christian Oerter Rifle, and the Ferguson Rifle. Enjoy.

    Sandcasting Flintlock Parts

I been working on this project for sometime now. Taking original JP Beck hardware and having it digitally scanned to .001mm I then had it 3D printed to .01mm tolerances in plastic. Those 3D models were scaled to account for brass shrinkage and clean up. I made the cope and drag from some...

    Thoughts on recent build?

There’s a few videos on Instagram of me building different things on the Rifle and there’s probably three videos in particular in my YouTube channel.

    Thoughts on recent build?

There’s a video of it on YouTube. I always hate when you finish it you really see where you should have scraped more and cleaned up more.

    Thoughts on recent build?

That’s always the challenge right! I trace along the barrel with a 1/16 bit and pencil and then work it down to the line.
