    Hello from N.W. Arkansas

Welcome, Medicine Duck! You have found a great website with many knowledgeable people, unfortunately I'm not one of them but welcome anyway. Jim

    OK....I did the idiot load....

I can empathize with that guy. The first time I took my rifle out in public was at a club match. When I dryballed they told me they "never saw that happen before". The second dryball was during the match. I quickly popped it out, hoping nobody noticed, and promptly dryballed again...

    Need ramrod segment.

I have a Traditions rifle and when I ordered the A1202 ramrod kit online I didn't realize it was only 26". I emailed Traditions to see about getting segment so I can use it in my 31" barrel. They told me they didn't sell parts and I would have to buy an entire ramrod. :cursing: Since I...

    1st Match

I did try 3 shots with .020 muslin patches and they did look reusable. The first order of business will be to cut down the stock, when I woke up this morning the right side of my face was really swollen. :(

    1st Match

A couple of weeks after putting together my rifle, a Traditions Kentucky, I shot in my first match. Didn't see the final scores but I'm sure I came in last. It was a success because I learned a lot. Learned how easy it is to forget the powder. .50 cal., .490 ball, .010 patch, and...

    Hello from Arkansas

You might be right, Rebel. While I was assembling my rifle I went to watch the local muzzleloaders club shoot. They let me shoot a flintlock and I know that will be my next rifle. Jim

    "Frozen" Nipple

I've never used it on guns (yet), but PB Blaster is the best for auto parts. And, it's available anywhere. Good luck! Jim

    Range Rod Extension

My rifle should arrive Monday, so I am very new and the question might be dumb. If I were to use a ball puller and it didn't work, would I be able to unscrew it from the ball without unscrewing the joints of a jointed rod? Jim

    Another old guy.

Hello all from the Arkansas Ozarks. My interest was in practical pistol shooting and since I enjoy making my own stuff I started reloading. Then casting bullets, and from there I thought I'd get a Kentucky rifle kit and casting some balls. No telling where this will end. This site is a real...
