Once you get that far I may bug you again to see what you did do. Thanks for being the guinea pig on this so to speak. Ive not ever built one before so as you can imagine Im very curious just like a bunch of other people how it will go for the first one to be assembled. Im really considering ordering one.

Jim kibler has posted several vids
The "in the white thing" is because hes fitting the first ones. Its a q.c. thing(fine tuning) so I think in the future they will come in kit form
(Ya thats nice ,but in the white, would you not disassemble, and fine finish the parts and re assemble and finish??)my aswer DUH!
Yup,Jim assembled the first 25 guns to assure no fit or finish problems. After the first 25 you will be installing all the hardware yourself.

Well I ordered a Woodsrunner in .54 cal. and stocked in cherry yesterday to get the discount.
I built a Reading School .50 cal. swamped barrel in cherry back in the early 80's. I like the wood and as I own two Colonials in maple (one plain in .58, one fancy in .54) and a Narragansett Arms .62 cal. smooth rifle in fancy maple I thought I'd go plain cherry again. I hope it has some interesting figure ; however. Lorrie said it would be 6 months and no payment until later. It will make a great birthday present to myself and another heirloom for my grandkids.

Need to get mine ordered, I emailed them last week, asking about the difference in delivery time with different wood, haven't heard back from them...I really prefer nice, curly maple but actually believe walnut or plain maple is more in tune for that pre-1770 time period...

Approx 6 month wait time is what I was advised of also. Thought after I called I should have asked how many WR's have been ordered so far. Don't know if the gal would have told or not, but ok if she didn't.

I'm really not in a hurry, I currently have the .54 I made in the '80s, so I will definitely order another in that caliber...I have 3 daughters and my .54 and my Bob Watts .40 so I do need another...I want it in fancy curly maple, the wife thinks I should go with walnut...I may wait and ask my youngest daughter which she wants as this will be her's... :)
