New to me rifle, gonna shoot this Saturday in Treaty Oaks tournament.

Are you using patched round ball? Maybe try it at 50 yards and experiment with different powder charges and patch thickness.

I shoot 25,50,100 and 200 yards. The target is 24 inches tall.

I think at least compared to my groups those are very good. Open sights, 100 yards. Sighted in as well. Presuming bench. You will probably make more errors than the gun will to open up the groups. Enjoy it and good luck in the match.

Ditch the pyrodex and use some real BP!! RB size and patch lube have alot to do with accuracy! My .45 CMR rifle offhand @50yrds
