So I've broken down and bought a pair of mag spark 209 conversions for my pedersoli. Kinda stinks I really enjoy the real deal caps I have about 300 left and went to go buy more and saw 1000 of them is almost $300! Holy cow! I think I'll save my stash for hunting and move to the 209 system at the range. I bought an extra cap with the pair to keep in my bag just in case I lose or break one. I plan on painting them orange to try and keep track of them If I drop them. Idk how to feel about the whole situation but the 2 conversion kits plus the extra cap plus 1000 209s is still less than 1000 caps by about 100$

Doesn’t take much investment to get set up to make your own #11s either.
Yea I thought about that route too but they all seem to be kinda janky and some make good caps some don't... I'd only use something like that at the range aswell I figure this was less work. I have thought about doing that .22lrreload kit and putting it aside just in case

Yep, I have the 22 Reloader dies just to keep my options open.

In my area of the world haven't seen caps for a "while" - not even the beat-up, half-full, scarred-up tins at a gun show for only $25. Thought briefly about the 209 option but I have a number of unmentionable guns that need those.

So, yup.

Buffalo Arms has more of my money and a 1000 RWS's are on the way.
Only 23 cents a shot.

Sigh..........

I don’t venture out much to shop when I’m home because I don’t like traffic and I’m tired of seeing empty shelves. But with that being said and not trying to get into an unmentionable conversation I did go to Sportsman’s Warehouse and the 2 Academy’s we have in the area. Mainly just to see if what, if any, muzzleloader stuff, caps, or reloading supplies were in stock. I was stunned that both Academy’s had a large stock of CCI 500 small pistol primers and Winchester small pistol magnum primers on the shelves for $7.95/100. No powder, almost no bullets, no brass. But stacks of primers. Makes no sense. Of course I bought a bunch.

I put a mag-spark on my renegade about 2 months ago for the same reasons as you. I actually kind of like using it. The 209s make for fast ignition and the adapter makes for an almost fully closed/weatherproof system.
