It's been a while since I took my Pedersoli 12 sxs out of the safe. The last time I shot a ball out of it it was bare over a powder card and I had to hold a foot over the target at 50 yards. Where to start?
Well, start by patching the ball to bore size. I don’t mean to squeeze it, just bring it to a light friction fit. Basically, remove the ball windage. You can use cloth, thin leather, paper etc, and don’t forget the lube.

80 grains of 3Fg, 1/2" greased fiber wad (Beeswax and lard), 1 oz. lead #6 shot, with 1/2" olive-oiled wad on top.
