Here is an interesting article, with images, from U. of York in the UK on a brass snaphaunce sporting gun.

Very cool! I was in a bit of a Snaphaunce mood this weekend. I had taken mine out for some FLASH BOOM on Saturday. This article caps the weekend. :v

Teleoceras,
I took it down after I created the Wikipedia entry on the miquelet. However, since nothing ever dies once it is in Google cache, it's still out there. And I do visit the forum everyday, along with several other daily blog visits. There are some superb artisans and articulate regulars in this group, so it's always a good read. :v

Too bad, I really liked looking at the Odyssey from time to time. :(

Hey, Teleoceras,
Have you had a chance to test those 'pryites' for your wheellock yet? I am most interested as to the results.
God bless.

bienvenido amigo mio! :hatsoff:
I still haven't managed to write anything new on spanish guns for my site since the review of "Espingarda Perfeyta" - but I am working on some translations i think you will find interesting...

Not yet, I am planning on either this Saturday or the next depending on the weather. I'll post the results ASAP.

Too bad your email address didn't go through as
I tried to send you a pic of a Miquelet Pistol I
made from scratch...Wulf

Wulf, that is too bad and too odd, as I clicked on the miqueleter address and sent a test email. Went over to the other setup and there the test email was in the mailbox. Any chance you could give it another try. Have to ask here as your profile page shows no email address. Or maybe even post the pic (s) here if you are of a mind to do so.

I don't have a digital that works and eventho I
got many detailed instructions on how I just do
not understand the language...I will try again
and you can post pics if you like...

Just sent two pics,,,"failure to deliver" I have
tried to email others using their "bio" e address
and got the same...sorry...I also apoligize for
stealing in on this thread...not my intention but
a way to contact you...
