Hello ALL. Still thinning the herd. Here's another one I hate selling. But here goes....
PISTOL: 1766 Charleville Pistol. Assembled from The Rifle Shoppe Kit #504. Builder unknown.
LOCK: Lock plate marked: Manuf - Royale Etienne with a small HB stamp above it. I think this is right. Bit hard to tell with the faux antique finish on the lock. The lock functions and sparks fine. Nice smooth action. Lock never fired. Only test sparked.
STOCK: Walnut I believe (I'm not good with wood ID). Nice bit of curl on the grip area. No chips, mars, dents, etc. As new condition.
BARREL: Maker unknown. I did not remove the barrel to check the bottom. But I suspect it's from Colorain, since they seem to make most of the barrels for TRS. The bore is .69 caliber and mint, unfired condition.
Features: All brass mounts. Includes belt clip. All the metal parts have a light antique type finish added by the builder. But would be easily polished out if desired. Overall, the pistol is in as new condition. Nothing to do but load and shoot.
I believe there is an India copy of this pistol available. But I don't think Pedersoli ever made a copy of this one. So an accurate copy like this one would be pretty rare to come by second hand - and in this condition. Most of the photos here are earlier. Try to ignore that crappy band sawed flint in the photos. LOL Comes with a proper sized French amber flint as shown in the first photo.
PRICE: $725.00 - shipped to the lower 48 states. Sorry, no trades.
Feel free to ask any questions. And thanks for looking. Rick
