Holy geesh you guys are ridiculous. Give me some time to get back in here and correct my posting. I only visit here like once a week. I missed the part where I needed to supply a name and date card with the picture. My apologies so here goes again. If there's an issue let me know and I will correct it. Back to the details some previous questioners had, and if you contacted me before please feel free to contact me again. Question answers:

No there is no original box.
No there is no multi tool.
I do have a metal barrel plug, like tompion, and some extra leaf sight blades.
There is a mold that I thought was for this gun (as I said its never been fired) but it looks like a long slender round bullet with grease grooves. Did this fire this with a patch? My thinking was the bullet would be hexagonal. Anyway I can include it. Pics below.

PS...Also I do not have a bore light so I took the best pic I could of the inner barrel. I am still trying to locate one. Thanks for your patience.

I believe the boolits start round, and then obturation turns them into hexagonal sided slugs.

You can use either a hexagonal bullet patched or a round grease groove bullet in this rifle.

Hexagonal bullets with grease grooves are not patched. Smooth-sided bullets MAY be patched if they are undersized enough, like those made by Brett Gibbons - otherwise they are a very close mechanical fit - without any kind of lube except maybe a WIPE-OVER with a greased finger.

The Pedersoli mould makes a close-fit bullet, but my experience is that the size varies between their moulds - a US-made mould is between $250 and $350. Most of us shoot the bullet shown in the photos, which go hexagonal when fired with the suitable load - 80- 90gr of 1.5Fg Swiss.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for all the PM's ! I promise I will get to them all shortly with responses. I have limited time for this so my apologies. In that light thanks so much for the insightful responses. In light of these this must be the correct bullet mold for this piece, and I have handles for it as well, so that's good. I had a few requests from earlier PM's for images of the serial number and cartouches. I will provide these below. On taking these pics I did notice something odd about the serial number. See if you can spot it. Any suggestions on why this is like it is are appreciated. Thanks and as mentioned I will try to follow up with the PM's.

655? With a bit of a mis-stamp? Ho-hum. It's unusual, but not unheard of. It looks fine to me, but I'd like to see the stamps UNDER the barrel, please.

Parker-Hale were sometimes iffy with their stamping, but the BP on the breech = Birmingham Proof, so there is no doubt of it's provenance.

The FB over 3 = 1980, my rifle serial number 420. The D230 is a production number for the complex breech plug assembly, made at a different time and of a different material from the barrel, as you can see for the colour difference when blued.
