I am having a little trouble finding round balls for my 31 cal Uberti 1849 Colt. I bought a box of off brand balls that were labled as .323 but many of them just drop right into the chambers. I measured them and many were .310".

Can I just buy some 00 buck shot? It measures .330". Is this too big?

Thanks for any help.

Al

.320-.321 is what you want. .330 is a bit on the chubby side. You are going to stress the rammer loading those. TOTW
and others sell .320 balls in 100 packs and this what I've always used or you can buy a mold and cast your own. These
little Ubertis are nice little guns and are worth giving proper care and feeding.
