There’s a couple members at the FtLupton club that have Kibler SMR in .45 calibre…very light gun…very accurate.

I got mine in .40 calibre, I really like the versatility of the .40 calibre
I like the .40 also, have a T/C Hawken with .40cal GM barrel, sort of went a little overboard collecting the Thompsons, need to decide on wich 3-4 to keep, and thin the herd over the next year or so, and free up some cash to try other things.

That is an awesome problem to have…I have several grandkids, give me a heads up when the thinning begins.

We do have some nice deer down here.
They have some weight to them and some nice racks.
Biggest deer I've shot down here was 100# . I would have to have a very close shot at the head if I was using my Crockett or SMR both in .32.
I will be getting a .36 in January sometime. Figured I could use that and shot squirrels and if a little Florida deer gives that perfect shot I'll take it.

That’s the one…I remember reading reading a blackpowder hunting article, and the author was going to some wilderness area, and using a .36 calibre….and it was legal in the state…Tennessee

Because, as I have said in two different locations (once here and I made a thread in the percussion sub forum) I'm not finding information. I have searched the net for days trying to find range and target information on the Investarms .36 Santa Fe Hawken. I have not been able to find any more. Its kind of difficult for me to let go of $649.00 without more credible information.

The only site I know of is Muzzlel-loaders.com and they do not show any range or target information. One would think that unless sales are booming, why would they not advertise this ML more? Why the lack of information? Why no credible videos of range time and targets to be found?
Ditto here. I've been eyeballing a 36 cal Santa Fe kit to compliment my 32 cal Crocket 32 and 40 cal SMR but am reluctant to commit based on the almost complete lack of info available out there. Even when my search is opened up to all Investarm Hawken rifles, most info seems sparse at best and often years old. I wonder how much of it is outdated due to kit /production evolution. (For instance, it looks like they no longer use Walnut, just some type of "European Hardwood" these days. ) I just find it odd that there is a near complete void of reviews on this rifle. ( Unlike the Crockett, BTW)
It's not like $600 is a life altering commitment but I prefer not to be in the "early adopter" line just to find out the kit/rifle is not as anticipated. That said, I feel I'm getting weaker and may just order one to scratch an itch soon anyway.

Admit I am curious about the Santa Fe, but given that I already have a. 36cal Senica and a .36cal T/C Hawken with Rice barrel, the Santa Fe seems sort of redundant.

I think something similar to the Kibler SMR should be next on my wish list. 🤞

Weight and the woods not walnut on the Santa Fe but it looks ok.I have a older Investarms cabella's model in 50 and that has nice walnut.

JD, is that .36 T/C Hawken with a Rice barrel a little on the heavy side?

Yes, All I have is a household bathroom scale, so can't vouch for accuracy, but it puts the .36cal T/C Hawken with 32" 15/16" Rice barrel at 8lb 13oz. and it feels a bit more muzzle heavy than I would like the rifle to be for off-hand shooting. The balance point is about 1-1.5" back from the brass stock cap.
