40 cal. Hunting loads

Umm this Thread is really old, but i reckon it caught someone's eye. What one man can use to kill game & another does not think its a good choice. That's it a choice, how good are you with a .40 cal ? Do you own n shoot a .40 ? If you do then your posts are of value to the members. The man used a prb with a light load, i use that load on my tree rats in the .40. I spect if i was hungry i would have taken the lung shot. Myself with a prb i would prefer at least a 50 gr load n try to keep my shots this side of 50 yards. Now lets flip the coin over n i use my .40 with my 175 gr conical, whoa !Put 60-75 gr of 3 f in there n if my eye is good the deer at 100 yards would be a very dead one !
