Does anyone know what size drill bit to use for making a 40 cal loading block?Tahnks

I'm gonna guess a 3/8" since a 3/8" dowel just fits down the barrel. I would start there with a scrap piece. I'm going to bet a .395 ball with a 15/1000 patch might be tight and youwill need to open it up some. bill :imo:
