I've done that before, too. It's fun!I managed to run all 6 plate on a falling rack at an embarassingly slow time.... but they all got hit and fell.
Accuracy is more important than speed, I say. Especially the first shotI managed to run all 6 plate on a falling rack at an embarassingly slow time.... but they all got hit and fell.
I thought of that but I only have one cylinderHey, that's a legitimate challenge to try. You should have had another cylinder ready, though, because the test requires 10 rounds.
But seriously, I also like to see what I can do with a single cylinder from a BP revolver using a test designed for a modern weapon.
That's a bummer. I bought the extra cylinders for both my Remington NMA and Colt 1860 Army right around when I got each revolver, just to make sure I wouldn't be left out in the cold from shortages in the future.I thought of that but I only have one cylinder
Thanks for the tip. My .44 was imported by a company called stile, I believe. I don't know if the cylinders are compatible. Not too many have even heard of that name. You should find the cylinder you want at Midway USA, and if it isn't in stock, sign up for a product notification. Their notifications are timely and are how I've gotten some hard-to-find things in the past.
Importers are different from manufacturers, though. If you look around on your revolver, you might see that it's a Pietta or Uberti. Thanks for the tip. In my case the shooter is the problemA well tuned 1858 should be able to hold in the black for all six shots from 50 yards, one handed without a rest.

Looks like I have some tuning to doA well tuned 1858 should be able to hold in the black for all six shots from 50 yards, one handed without a rest.

That sounds a bit more like your own capability than that of the handgun.A well tuned 1858 should be able to hold in the black for all six shots from 50 yards, one handed without a rest.
