I’m looking for help in identifying this rifle, and if anyone knows anything more about it I would love to here it!

What you have there is a CVA Mountain Rifle. They have a following to say the least. Yours has the USA made barrel and four screw patch box. They are very accurate rifles if taken care of. 👍👍👍😎

The CVA USA made mountain rifles came out around 1976 and had Made in USA on the barrel for the first two years. .45 and .50 calibers. The USA rifles had a browned finish. Yours has the four screw patch box as it should but looks like it has round ram rod thimbles. The USA marked rifles should have six sided thimbles. Maybe your rifle was a late USA one and they had run out of Six sided thimbles. No big deal. Around 1978 CVA went to blued finish, two screw patch box, no Made in USA on barrel, round thimbles, and the .54 caliber came out with no patch box. Around 1980 the barrels were stamped Made in Spain.

Thanks for all the helpful information! I also forgot to mention that it is a kit gun, not sure if that matters.
