I am getting a plain jane fowler 42" 20 ga. Hopefully, it will be all paid for in a month and I will have my hot little hands on it in time to go to SD and shoot gophers.

They are tiny targets and I figure if I can get good enough with a smoothbore to hit them consistently out to 25-50 yds - then I should be able to hit a deer :blah: :winking:

That'll be like lobbing in cannnon balls on infantry troops, a close shot will kill a few of them from concusion and flying debris...

Concussion - flying debris - whatever works. Now I just need to figure out a decent flint pistol to fight off the rattlesnakes.

Got real about it yesterday and put apt sight front and back out of 3 grs of 3 the last was 3 in a line 2 aout a 1" apart and the the 3rd about 10" away and the dang thing was ajusted all the way up and hitting 3" below the target :rotf: Think this weekend I'll just shoot for a grp and see what happens for the heck of it cant even tell ya what kind of barrel it is I just told the guy "want it for ball but maybe a very little shot shooting" So who knows? :shake: Fred :hatsoff:
