Would like to learn more about the bullets you are using, wads or no wads, size of wads, etc. If you can direct me to another thread, or link, or video.
What you've accomplished is nothing short of amazing.

Subscribe to his YouTube channel. Also go there to watch his videos listed there, he covers your questions about wads.

Maybe if @SPQR70AD is so certain Lewis is using smoke and mirrors he would volunteer to hold the gong at 1k yards and let Lewis shoot at it?
before you make statements go to page 4 and see how I complimented Lewis oon his shooting. when I saw the video he seems honest and he knows what he is doing. Lewis shot at 500 yds not 1000

In essence, @SPQR70AD is saying he can make the hits at 800 yards and we should believe it when he tells us. Lewis and others, not so much. Got it.
yea but I did with a heavy barrel set up for long range not an ancient cap and ball pistol or a flintlock or percussion rifle with a long lock time and bullets with the BC of a badminton birdy. see I tried to make a joke and being there are so many tough guys here I was tagged teamed by you and them. one guy knew it was a joke and laughed at it. and you really believe everyone tells the truth on gun forums?

Now SPQR70AD, you practice on that target. Of course, you are likely to hit it. That's cheating, isn't it? :thumb:
of course I practiced a lot and missed a lot. after a while I walked it on then figured it out. now if I made a video I would only show the good shots edit out the bad ones 😬

Thats some good shooting, although clearly its impossible according to some....

Yes, the only bad TC I owned had the QLA barrel as well. I could not get rid of that rifle fast enough. I can’t honestly remember what I did with it. Sure I traded it off for something. The TC Hawken has long been a favorite of mine when I need to count on accuracy. Greg
Whats a QLA barrel ?

before you make statements go back and read the posts I made to Lewis complimenting his shooting. go to page 4. I watched his video and he seems like an honest guy and knows what he is doing

before you make statements and look foolish go to page 4 and see how I complimented Lewis on his shooting. when I saw the video he seems honest and he knows what he is doing. I definitely believe what he did

Quick load accurizer basically a false muzzle. the lands were removed the first inch or so making loading easier.

beat me to it!
So like a coned muzzle ? I've done that to my 50 cal. I can't tell the difference in accuracy from before 🤷‍♂️

Many folks feel that if they can’t do it, it can’t be done. And they’ll fight with you to prove they’re “right”…

Great question by the way. Now, for the long time forum denizens… remember, no hair pulling, eye gouging, ear biting or punches below the belt… moot point anyway, most of your pet recipes are probably wrong… 😂🤣😅🤗

You’ll not hear that from @Idaholewis or @Idaho Ron. I use a modified lube Steve Garbe’s SPG with 2.5 oz. Stihl HP synthetic lube added to a pound.
I know I will not hear that from Idaho or Ron, and thanks 4 sharing yours sir.

TC did it to supposably make the loading of conicals easier. in practice i didn't find it that much different. and that one i had was the only TC i couldn't shoot well. i think i gave it to my neighbor.

The QLA was basically a counterbore that was the diameter of the driving band of a Maxi-Ball for the length of a Maxi-Ball. The theory was that the Maxi-Ball would now be perfectly aligned with the bore. Loading a patched round ball would be easier, much like in a coned barrel. In practice, the QLA counterbore abruptly stopped at the bottom of the counterbore leaving sharp edges on the lands that couldn't be smoothed out. The sharp edges are detrimental to accuracy and most hopes for improved performance were lost.

Pretty much, the problem was that T/C tried to cone those barrels via mass production factory methods. That did not work out.
