Very, very nice rifle, you did another nice job! I'm not far from PA Dutch land and the use of the hearts and such are seen on a lot of barns . Your reference to things being painted black refers to the Amish, they do that, the Mennonites paint their vehicle bumpers black, at least when they were chrome with black cars.
