Super heavy (14lbs) and very solid built bigtime. Best halfstock I've seen in a musket this size or any other for that matter. Thick forearm well made and generous buttstock. Super crisp checkering. Barrel bore is excellent with a 6 gauge muzzle with 5 gauge chamber. Barrel is 45 inches long. Engraved on barrel top CHARLTON BROTHERS and a huge engraved STARBURST and under barrel by proof marks says C.NEWTON, a listed gunsmith in England. Hand engraved everything...... my gunsmith has taken it apart several yrs ago for service, oil etc. Everything is as it should be. It's been fired but well cared for. I use 225 blk and 4 ounces #4 buckshot makes a good lite rabbit load. Good squirrel load too if the tree can take the abuse........you know, they don't make trees the way they used too.......squirrels either.....
